Orlando Pelayo Entrialgo (b. Gijón, December 14, 1920 - d. Oviedo, March 15, 1990) was a Spanish painter and engraver.
His parents, Vicente Pelayo González and Honoria Sofía Entrialgo Morís, were teachers, which is why his residence changed according to the fate of his parents.
It was precisely in Oran where he began his first works.
Between 1959 and 1962 the series «Cartographies of the absence» appeared, representing a review full of nostalgia of the Spanish lands in which he lived.
His return from exile was in 1967. In his artistic work, war and exile occupied a central place, leaving testimony of human suffering.
Orlando Pelayo was also a prolific draftsman, as well as an occasional but interesting sculptor.
