Equipo Crónica was an artistic group founded in 1964 by three Valencian painters, based on the proposals of the historian Tomás Llorens Serra.
In 1964 Manolo Valdés and Rafael Solbes participated in the España libre exhibition held in Rimini, in which they exhibited together with numerous contemporary artists, including the Spanish Eduardo Arroyo, Rafael Canogar, Antoni Clavé, Antonio Saura and Antoni Tàpies.
In November 1964, this last group inaugurated a tentative exhibition, which was held at the Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia.
